Harry Reid is No Leader, and it’s About Time We Found One

Harry Reid should be ashamed of himself. His desire to play partisan politics, and his inability to stand up for what is right, continues to plague Washington. Under his leadership, the capital, and the Senate in particular, has continued its downward spiral.

Staten Island Secession?

About a month ago, State Senator Andrew Lanza announced his plans for a bill that will remove Staten Island from New York City.  For those that do not know, S.I. tried this once before, and it didn’t work.

Staten Island Politics: North Shore City Council Race

I know, it’s been a while.  I’ve been very busy since my last post.

With the results of the November election came a new Congressman from Staten Island, former North Shore City Councilman Mike McMahon (D), who takes over the seat vacated by Vito Fossella (R).  This vacates the seat for the 49th district, leading to a special election to be held on February 24th, 2008.
